Buddy the Gourd!

Since my last report, I've been getting a lot of email from people. They say, Buddy the Gourd, if you can travel around in the future and report back, can you tell me which horse wins the number three race on a certain day at a certain track? Or how about the winning lottery numbers for a really big jackpot. Can you tell me that?

I'm sorry everyone. It's not that I don't want to help. It's just that besides traveling through time, I also slip into parallel universes and I'm never quite sure which universe I'm traveling in. I could tell you that Cutie Bug wins in the third race, and I might have actually witnessed it, but it might have happened in a different parallel universe than the one that you wrote from.

If you play the lottery numbers I give you, they could very well lose. So sadly, I can't be helpful in that way. I hope this clears things up and the emails about this sort of thing will stop. I'm sorry! Please don't call me awful things!

Even if I can't guarantee that the future I'm reporting on is the one you may eventually inhabit as time passes by, I hope my stories are helpful nevertheless. It's confusing to me too, and yes, sometimes I get headaches.

That's why I've chosen to spend every fall hanging around with my friend Diane. It's very boring and regular there. Time passes slowly and we don't jet set around. And I really like the cats. They have a great sense of humor.

But I'm not there now -- I'm out traveling around. I'm looking for a good story that I think everyone would like to hear. Hope to write again soon.
